The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released the date sheet for the main examination of the Odisha Civil Services Examination 2022. The main examination will be held from February 25 to March 05, 2024, at various centres across the state. The candidates who have qualified the preliminary examination can download their admit cards from the official website of OPSC from February 18, 2024, onwards.

The main examination will consist of nine papers, out of which seven are compulsory and two are optional. The compulsory papers are General English, Odia Language, Essay, General Studies I, General Studies II, General Studies III, and General Studies IV. The optional papers are chosen by the candidates from the list of subjects given in the notification. Each paper will be of three hours duration and carry 250 marks. The total marks for the main examination will be 1750.

The candidates who clear the main examination will be called for a personality test, which will carry 250 marks. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the main examination and the personality test. The candidates who are selected for the Odisha Civil Services will be appointed to various posts under Group A and Group B services of the state government.

The OPSC conducted the preliminary examination on October 15, 2023, and declared the results on December 28, 2023. On the basis of the said Examination, a total of 8220 Candidates are selected to appear for the Mains to be held Feb-Mar 2024. The OPSC had notified a total of 392 vacancies for the Odisha Civil Services Examination 2023.

How to Download and What to Check

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) conducts various recruitment examinations to various state government posts. - Click on the link "Download Admission Certificate & Instruction to Candidates for the Examination" under the "What's New" section.

- Select the name of the examination for which you have applied and click "Go".

- Enter your PPSAN number and date of birth and click on "Submit".

- The OPSC admit card will be displayed on the screen. Download and print it for future reference.

Candidates should check the details on the OPSC admit card carefully and report any discrepancies to the OPSC authorities as soon as possible. Candidates should also read the instructions on the admit card and follow them strictly. Some of the important instructions are:

- Candidates should reach the exam center at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time.

- Candidates should not carry any electronic device, calculator, mobile phone, or any other material that can be used for unfair means.

- Candidates should use only black or blue ballpoint pen to mark their answers on the OMR sheet.

- Candidates should not leave their seats or the exam hall without the invigilator's permission.

- Candidates should sign and affix their left thumb impression on the attendance sheet and the OMR sheet in the presence of the invigilator.
